Mike and Brenda and their kids: Eli, Emma, and Jackson
live about half an hour - or a bit longer - from us.
Brenda invited us to come to Emma's 'First Communion'. They are Catholic and I had no idea what to expect for a First Communion service. Joshua asked me and I didn't know if it would just be Emma...or several people.
Well...when we got there, the church is huge and it was completely packed! I think there were either 50 or 60 kids having their 'First Communion'.
Brenda told me that Emma usually is in the choir, but this day, she sang a solo!
It must be traditional for the girls to wear a white dress.
Emma looked beautiful!
After the ceremony, we took a group picture...and then we headed to their home for a celebration!
