This hike was AMAZING!!!
I know I say that a lot...but this one is up there in some of my top ones. I've probably said that a lot, too. This was a 6.7 mile hike...starting at an elevation of 11,300'. We started out in the trees.
We gradually hiked our way above the treeline.
Jill and I...climbing...
There's Yvonne coming behind us.We hit 3 patches of snow. None of them were too slick. We all brought our spikes, but never needed to put them on.
Deb
Deb is the mastermind behind all our hikes. She researches and researches before she posts the hikes. She's also really into wildflowers. That's what she's doing here, taking pictures of wildflowers.
Deb, she's incredible. Always so prepared for the hikes.
Look at that!!!

Me
The rocks were amazing! Look at the colors!
Yvonne takes as many or more pictures than I do!
These were all along the trail. Sometimes we added rocks to them when we passed by.
This was our elevation, 12,456', when we stopped for a snack.
Jill resting on a rock...
Me and Vici..this is where we had our snack.
What a view we had as we rested!
Me, Yvonne, and Jill (still lounging away!)
Deb
We started heading back down...
I don't know how I missed this when we were heading up. But look at those switchbacks! This part of the trail was so steep...
We just hiked in close to 3.5 miles, then turned around and came back.
The trail kept going...I'm not sure how far, but this was just glorious!
Still having some snow made it all the more beautiful, in my opinion.
