We decided to drive out to Castlewood Canyon for a hike. One of the trails we were on was the Rim Trail. It borders one side of the canyon...and it's pretty high above it! Ron decided he needed to eat his lunch here.
I pointed out to him that there were dark clouds forming...
He said he needed to finish his lunch.
Well, when the thunder and lightning started not to far away, he might have eaten a bit faster..
and we took off. We were about 4 miles from our car.
Thankfully, for the most part, the thunder and lightning wasn't directly over us.
This is the remains of an old dam.
I love this tree...you can also see it's raining in the not too distant!
We obviously made it out in time...
