Mt Falcon
Another gorgeous hiking destination!
The first time I heard of this place, my cousin Ray was here visiting and he took off to go there.
We still were living in California.
Now, we've hiked there a LOT.
It's gorgeous, and like Staunton, there are lots of trails.
The parking lot can be packed, but the trails are still ok.
We found this little picnic area, so we stopped and had our lunch there.
Covid-19 was in the headlines so we were careful not to touch the tables, just in case!
We hit some snowy areas.
Isn't this gorgeous?
There's a trail that leads to a spot where, at one time, a Summer White House, was going to be built for the president.
Here's the cornerstone that was laid...
but it was never built.
I'm definitely glad it wasn't, because the view here is incredible...and we wouldn't be able to see it!
Mt. Falcon, always a great place to hike.
