Rob and Melanie had never hiked at Staunton.
They were in for a treat!
My plan was to take them up to the Eagle's View...it's around 9,600' in elevation (around there).
Well, we saw a ranger as we were just taking off from the trailhead and he asked where we were headed. When I told him what trail and where, he told me it was all ice. So, I said we'd take a different trail to get up there...he said, it's all ice.
So we went on the Staunton Trail and did a good 8+ miles...

The term 'social distancing' was just starting to be known.
We weren't very good with that.
Staunton is one of our favorite places to hike.
It was definitely an enjoyable day!
