Happy 5th Birthday, Walt!!!

See this strong guy!  He's 5 years old today!!!
He is Mr. Personality, without a doubt!

Like his brother, he loves his kitty...this is their new one, Peaches.

These first four pictures were July 30, 2020, when I was there.

In September, 2019, we celebrated Walt's 4th birthday at a pizza parlour.  I would love to be doing that this year!
Walt makes us smile with all his many expressions!  These were on September 29, 2019, at Emerson's baseball game.

                                                               This was definitely fun!
Hooray for November!  You came to Colorado to see your Mimi and Papa.  Where was your first lunch?
                                                                       Chick fil A!
You loved learning to play billiards!
We went to Red Rocks on November 25, 2019.  It was suppose to snow that night, so we went up ahead of the snow storm.

That night, Uncle John came over with his family.  You played billiards and foosball!
Before coming to Colorado, you and Emerson had been hoping for snow.  Well, you both got your wish!
It snowed something like 15"!  It snowed during the night and all the next day.  You had a blast!

You and Emerson with your Saddie!
Your mom and dad also had fun playing in the snow.  Can you see the snow coming down?

You got to go sledding...right in front of our home!  Uncle Joshua was pushing you and sometimes you rode on the sled with your mom!

That night, we went to Uncle John's for dinner.  You, William, and Remy played ping pong in the basement.
On Wednesday, we celebrated Thanksgiving because you were all flying home on Thanksgiving Day.
You, Emerson, Papa and Baxter were playing in the loft.
This was the last picture we took in Colorado before ya'll flew home.
I was so happy you had come, but so sad you were leaving!
We came to California in February, 2020.  You came down to Aunt Lindsey's for William's 8th birthday.
You and William...my two W's!  Wild William and Wild Walt!

Your Mimi ALWAYS wants a picture with her boys!

                                                              We were playing Pickleball!
Up at your house, we went to Emerson's baseball practice.  Your dad is the coach!  You watched the practice...a little..but mostly you had fun throwing the ball to Baxter.

You also enjoyed playing in the playground area.

You are so happy when Emerson plays with you!
We played a lot of basketball in your backyard.
I always comment on your form!  You are a natural athlete!
At another baseball practice for Emerson, you brought your bike and this rad helmet!  I'm not sure how gentle your Papa was putting it on you!
You like hanging out in the dugout...and then when we left, you wanted a ride in the cart to the car!

Your mama and Papa put together some patio furniture.  I just love these pictures of you and your dad!

Once the chairs were together, you and Emerson tested them out!

Guess where we went?  INOB...and also to Baskin & Robbins ice cream!
Your parents had gone out on a date...Papa had gone up to McKinleyville to pick up some things...so you, Emerson, and I had our own date!

March 1, 2020 was our last day with you for this trip.  We were heading out to Texas!

In March, the world shut down because of a pandemic, Covid-19.  Normally, we would have come back to see you in May.  Emerson and Benjamin both have their birthdays so we wanted to come...but couldn't.  Your mama sent me these pictures of you!

I sure was happy to get these.  Your Mimi and Papa were missing you so much!

In June, your dad sent these pictures to me!  Again, I was so so happy to get them!
Your Mimi was missing you so much!😢

June 25, 2020 was a BIG day for you!  You became a GRADUATE!  A graduate of preschool!
                               FINALLY.......
July came and I finally felt it was safe to travel.  I came by myself because Papa had some doctor appointments he couldn't miss.  I was so excited to see you...and I got to meet Peaches!

Oh my goodness, Walt!  You're a beast on the "vids"...or what I call, video games!
You're also so fast on your bike!

We played more basketball in your backyard.

While we were playing, your dad was watering the plants...and then guess what  he watered?   YOU!
Of course, we went to INOB!

We couldn't eat there because of COVID...so we brought it home...and took our picture!
You like to get a hamburger with no onions, french fries and a vanilla shake!
August 2, 2020 was my last day with you for this trip.  We went back to INOB for one last dinner!

We also played Guess Who out on the back porch.  Walt, we played ... I think it was 6 games.  Guess how many your Mimi won?  ONE...just 1.

Now here it is, September.  Now you're turning 5 years old!
Your dad is planning on coming out to Colorado in October...soon!
You are doing 'distance learning' in TK, so you can do it here just as well as California.
We're excited for you to come!

It's sure been a FUN year with you!  We're excited for this next year, too!
Happy happy birthday, Walt!
Your Mimi and Papa love you so much!

It's been a long time!
