Emily, you look great!
Walt!!!  What a face!
Emerson...you're so funny!
Gabe, you are wearing it well!
Your uncle was impressed when I first showed him these pictures.

The price is right when you're in ColoradošŸ˜‰

The boys have new pets!

I think this is around the first week of June, but Lindsey sent me this picture of their new chicks.
William is crazy about them.  I'm not sure how long ago, but he and Benjamin caught a chicken "Chickee".  They don't know where it came from, but I guess it was in their yard.  Sullivan really loved Chickee, too.  Well, that got the boys wanting more chicks.  William, on a zoom, was showing me all the different types of chicks, and which ones were too expensive and which ones would be a good buy!  They got 6.

When Linz sent the chick pictures, she included this one of the window washers!

This picture....oh my, it just makes my heart melt...William walking with one of the chicks!  And below, Sullivan with Chickee (who unfortunately, met a not so good ending to life😢)
I don't have pictures, but what do you do with 6 chicks?  Well, you build a chicken coop!

Trish

This was June 10th, but it could be any day Monday through Saturday.  Trish is our mail carrier.  She's such a sweetheart and she loves Baxter...and Baxter absolutely adores her!  If he hears her mail truck, he gets excited.  This day, we had been sitting out on the front porch and she stopped next door to deliver a package.  Baxter stood, watching...
When she stopped at our mailbox, I told him he could go...and off he ran to greet her.  "How's my little buddy?" is what she usually says.
She then gives him a little dog biscuit and pats him a few times.  Then she'll tell him, "I'll see you tomorrow!"
What if Baxter doesn't hear her coming?  She still remembers him.  We'll open our mail box, and on top of the mail will be...
a dog biscuit!

Hiking to Chicago Lakes on June 5, 2020

We drove up to Mt Evans, intending to do a 6 mile hike around Echo Lake.
The lake is beautiful...in a beautiful setting.  The hike wasn't to have much of an elevation gain.
One of the guys we were with, suggested a different hike from the same trailhead.  He suggested we hike up to Chicago Lakes...saying it was a gorgeous hike.  We all agreed to go.
It was absolutely gorgeous...the first part was a lot of up and down hill, very rocky, but gorgeous views all along the way.  You can see Ron in the lead, with Jill and Rick behind him.  I think Deb was ahead of Ron and Baxter.

When we stopped to have a snack, I figured out I could set up my phone and then use my watch to actually snap the picture!  We tried it multiple times!

Getting up to this point was tough!  There was a LOT of elevation gain...can't remember exactly how much, but around 1800'.  I was struggling as I had hiked twice this week, both times 6-8 miles.  But look at this!  It was so worth the struggle!  People we passed said there was a moose, but unfortunately, we never saw it.

What a spot for a snack break...well, it was a snack break for everyone except Ron.  He took a lunch break.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself to realize I really do live in the midst of all this!  That's Deb in this picture.

Ron is definitely enjoying the hikes...and the beauty of this place.

It was a perfect day hiking...a bit exhausting...a bit challenging...but oh so worth it!

It's been a long time!
